Minister of Agriculture from Haiti visits Canada

The Minister of Agriculture from Haiti, Mr. Joanas Gue, visited Ottawa and Montreal, Canada on February 19 and 20 to endorse his project (version française, cliquez ici) to authorities of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and IICA Canada’s partners, on the Program to Provide Emergency Support for Food Production In Haiti in response to the Hurricanes of 2008, the Earthquake of January 12, 2010 and for the Integration of Displaced Populations. Also, the Minister briefly reported on his meetings during the previous days in Rome with a number of UN agencies including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Program (WFP). During his visit, the Minister was interviewed by the press.
